Jenga Tower with coloured blocks is another variation of the very famous Jenga Game.

Jenga Tower is one of the few board games that is perfectly suitable to start playing with young kids. It comes with 48 wooden blocks and 2 pieces of dice. This fun social game literally grows into your family, connecting one to another.

Rules of the game:

Freestyle for kids: Toddlers and young kids love to simply stack the pastel blocks on each other, building their own tower masterpieces and structures.

Game option 1, for 2-3 players: Construct a tower by placing three blocks in each row. Each row should have one different colour. The blocks of each row should cross each other. In other words, each new layer of blocks should be rotated 90° along the horizontal axis from the previous layer. Once the tower is built, straighten it and start. A player rolls a dice and removes any block from the tower that matches the colour on the same dice. Then the player stacks this block back but on top of the tower.

Players use only ONE hand and cannot extract blocks from the top rows of the tower. The player who causes the tower to fall over loses the game.

Game Option 2, “marking the blocks”: Before building a tower, write something on reusable stickers and apply them to the blocks. For example, it could be a question, a “dare” or a directive to perform something. When a person pulls a question from the tower, he or she must answer that question. There are 2 choices here to play: 1) pick a block (with dice or without), answer its question and toss the block away, or 2) pick a block (with dice or without), answer its question and stack it on top (as described in Option 1).

A cool idea from NeuroToys. The option to mark the blocks with questions is an effective “ice-breaker”. It suitable for an “orientation for new employees” in the HR programme, a corporate dinner or lunch, team building, etc
