Play the Domino with Textures from Andreu Toys!

What a great alternative way to play dominoes! 7 types of textures to promote tactile and colour recognition in a playful way. Children also train their social skills, tactical and strategic thinking.

Dominoes are a fun, easy and low-prep activity as a part of early childhood education.

Reap the benefits of the domino with textures:

1. During the introductory phase, occasionally ask the child to close his or her eyes (better using a blindfold) and touch 1 type of texture of a domino tile. Then let the child touch another type, still with the eyes closed. Ask to describe and memorise the difference between the two. Let the child open the eyes and see what textures belong to which colours.
2. Gradually, over time, explore all 7 textures, by randomly mixing them all in a pile.
3. As the final challenge, with the blindfold on, encourage the child to build a linear sequence of all the dominoes. Where the end of one domino will have the same texture as the next connecting domino.
